Week 6:1-2

One of the seven literacy learning strategies that work in the classroom is KWL Charts. Throughout my observation, I've noticed this is an important strategy that provides students the abilities to break down literary works and develop a learning tool that effectively creates a discussion within the classroom. This technique is described as "are a great way to hook students into learning", students start of with an introductory and follow up with what they want to learn and what they actually learned which put the literature into perspective. Also, as a student KWL charts were a major component in my formative learning years and till this day is used as a thought process when I'm introduced to new topics and books.
